Youngji/ Heo Young Ji (KARA) Born Aug 30th '94

2014-2016: KARA Project, KARA

In 2014, Hur Young Ji became a contestant on the reality show KARA Project aimed to find the new member of the girl group KARA. She ranked 1st place in the finale and ultimately joined KARA as a new member. She made her debut as a member of KARA on August 18, 2014 with the release of their sixth mini album Day & Night.

On January 15, 2016, DSP Media announced Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara's departure from KARA due to contract expiration. The company also noted that Youngji would continue her music career as a solo artist. The company is planning to help Youngji succeed and develop for the future.

2016-present: Solo career

On December 8, 2016, she was revealed as a hidden member of DSP Media's new co-ed group KARD for their first pre-debut single "Oh NaNa".

On August 16, 2017, DSP announced Hur Young Ji's solo debut with a teaser image for "Memory Clock", which was then released on August 25, 2017.

On August 18, 2021, it was reported that Hur Young Ji had renewed her contract with DSP Media.
