In 2015, she appeared as a contestant on the competition show Unpretty Rapstar 2. She made it to the final round, ending the show as third runner-up.

In 2016, YG Entertainment announced plans to debut a new girl group (now BLACKPINK). While Sua was a likely candidate for the group's lineup, she was never officially included.

On April 5, 2019, it was reported that she left YG Entertainment after nearly ten years.

She was officially revealed as a trainee under MYSTIC Rookies on February 19, 2020.

She was later announced as a member of MYSTIC Story's upcoming girl group Billlie. The group debuted on November 10, 2021 with their first mini album The Billage of Perception : Chapter One.
